Please anyone help me, with this question Present ages of Sameer and Ranveer are in the ratio of 5 : 4 respectively. Three years hence, the ratio of their ages will become 11 : 9 respectively. What is Ranveer's present age in years ?

Let the age of Sameer be 5x and that of Ranveer will be 4x.
3 years hence, Sameer = 5x + 3
Ranveer = 4x + 3

According to question,
(5x + 3)/(4x + 3) = 11/9
45x + 27 = 44x + 33
x = 6.

So present age of Ranveer = 4(6) = 24 years
