National Testing Agency has changed the name of Central Universities Common Entrance Test (CUCET) to Central Universities Entrance Test (CUET). CUET 2025 will provide a single-window opportunity to students to seek admission in any of the Central Universities (CUs) across the country Central Universities Entrance Test will be conducted in 13 languages at around 154 exam centres around the country. This year, Delhi University (DU) has also made the CUET mandatory for the academic session 2024-25.
University Grants Commission (UGC) has released a notice regarding the CUET 2025 exam. As per the CUET Notification 2025, CUET-UG 2025 will be conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) the online application process for the same will be conducted May 2025. The official CUET 2025 notification for Central Universities Entrance Test (CUET) has been released on 1st week of May 2025. Tentatively, NTA will conduct the online registration process for the CUET entrance exam 2025 in February 2025.

NTA CUET 2025 online examination is expected to be conducted by the May 2025. The CUET 2025 application process would comprise steps including registration, application, image upload and payment. CUET 2025 Application Fee can be paid by debit/credit card/net banking or Challan of SBI bank any branch. Candidates have to pay the application fee either online or offline mode. The candidates have to fill out CUET Application Form 2025 to get registered for the Central Universities Entrance Test (CUET). Follow the below steps to fill CUET 2025 Application Form.
Step 1 - Visit the official website of the CUET to fill CUET Application Form 2025.
Step 2 - Click on the ‘Apply Online’ tab to register for the programme.
Step 3 - After clicking, candidates will be able to see three programmes options- UG, PG, and RP. Click on the link you wish to apply for.
Step 4 - Complete the registration process by entering details like program applied for, name, valid e-mail-id, mobile number, date of birth, and verification code displayed on the screen.
Step 5 - Once all details are submitted, the application number and password are generated and are sent to the registered email address and mobile number.
Step 6 - Use the application number and password to log in and fill up the application form by entering the log-in details like personal, academic qualification and communication address.
Step 7 - Upload scanned images of a recent passport-sized photograph and signature in prescribed format and dimensions.
Step 8 - Select the examination centres- In order of preference, select and enter the exam centres.
Step 9 - On successful online application submission with payment of fees through an automated e-mail and SMS is sent to the registered e-mail ID and mobile number.

As CUET is an entrance exam for admissions to UG courses at the Central Universities, which have been established under an Act of the Parliament, each Central University must follow the norms set by the Government of India, with respect to intake and reservation of seats. This section of the CUET Eligibility provides relaxation to the SC/ST, OBC, and PwD category.
